This interior design renovation and extension of 21 hotel rooms in Lana, South Tyrol, Italy, aims to transform an angular building into an oasis of comfort and elegance. The guiding concept is inspired by the desire to soften the architecture and interiors of the hotel and harmonise them with the natural beauty of their surroundings.

The design is inspired by the idea of softening the angularity of the building and bringing the palm garden and the surrounding landscape into the rooms. The architectural details of the curved corners from wall to ceiling soften the angular transitions within the rooms and create a soft, flowing aesthetic that contrasts with the original sharp angles of the building.

Almost every piece of furniture is customised and features subtle details such as curved edges and shapes that reinforce the theme of softness and nature, adding a unique touch to each room. With natural colours and materials, the carefully selected finishes offer a palette of light, harmonious tones that evoke a sense of calm and relaxation. Inspired by the beautiful palm garden and the lush mountain landscape, these elements bring nature inside.

STORY

SOFT, NATURAL TONES

The use of warm earth tones, soft greens and blues (plants and water), together with light shades and nature-inspired fabrics in the rooms, creates a calm atmosphere that promotes relaxation and well-being.

HARMONIOUS INTEGRATION

The new design elements blend seamlessly into the existing architecture and ensure a harmonious transition between old and new. This integration respects the history of the building and at the same time gives it a contemporary elegance.

WALLPAPER INSPIRED BY PALM TREES

Each room features wallpaper designs inspired by the view of the hotel's lush palm garden, connecting the interiors with the natural surroundings.
